Aaron Day, co-founder and CEO of CloudG Solutions, and his wife Lychelle, were two of eight Alumni Award winners honored by Utah Valley University (UVU) on February 9th before an audience of colleagues, family, and friends. The awards ceremony, which was held in the Clarke Building on UVU’s Orem Campus, recognized UVU alumni and community members who have distinguished themselves through career success or for their efforts in supporting students and the university.
Aaron and Lychelle, 2003 and 2004 UVU graduates, respectively, received the UVU Alumni Impact Award which is presented to an alum who has “demonstrated early success, innovation, impact, or leadership to their industry, community, the public, or humanity.” They were applauded for their successful business endeavors, including their joint ownership of Blue Lemon restaurants (which they sold in 2021), Lychelle’s dance studio, Artistic Dance Project, and CloudG Solutions.
Aaron expressed his gratitude to the university. “Lychelle and I are both humbled and honored by this acknowledgement,” he said. “We are proud to be alumni of UVU and thrilled that our business accomplishments are recognized by our alma mater. We hope that other UVU students and alumni will be inspired by our success and pursue their dreams.”
After a 12-year stint of building and running a successful chain of restaurants in Utah, both Lychelle and Aaron moved on to other endeavors, with Lychelle creating a fun, healthy, and competitive studio for her children and other youth in the community to further their dance careers and support healthy lifestyles and Aaron returning to his tech roots with CloudG.
In 2021, Aaron partnered with co-founder Tony Garcia to form CloudG which has since helped hundreds of businesses and thousands of users across the United States to build custom IT solutions to run their businesses.
